When I joined Jalopnik back in April 2009, I was just a carless first year engineering student at Georgia Tech.
Lots have changed since then, it’s unfortunate that it looks like we’re going away for good now. Might try some of the other alternatives, but I might just go slowly into the dark.
Thanks for the years of memories. Even got to road trip a car over 1000 miles home.

That comes very close to describing me actually. It’s been real, but I hope the community can move on with minimal loss to a more stable platform. Or ideally the Kinj apocalypse doesn’t come to pass at all but we can’t go through this every couple of months. While the herbs are in charge things aren’t going to change.

I’m pretty much waiting for the Credible Platform Replacement, but once we have one, I see no reason not to make a new environment exactly what I want to make of it.

Reflecting on all this its hit me how long its been, started on oppo over 7 years ago. At the time I was barely halfway through high-school with no car, now I've had over 20. No doubt oppo had an effect as something I'd look at regularly for so long

Weird the things you remember after all these years. I got a bit of a head start in HS senior year.
